Four hundred thousand visitors, three ice-cream villages that handed out two thousand and twenty-two cups and produced thirteen thousand kilos of ice cream in four days; the crowd was divided in the following age ranges:

  • 0-18 years: 16%
  • 18-30 years: 14%
  • 30-50 years: 60% of which families with children 27%
  • over 50 years: 10%

These are the numbers of the first edition of the Firenze Gelato Festival, an event devised and organized by Guest System, winner in the “Best Emotional Response” category during the Best Event Awards 2010, rating every year the best Italian events.

A playful and cultural event of experimental cuisine – it was right here at the Firenze Gelato Festival 2010 that the most –requested flavour of the summer was invented, called Festina Lente and made with cream, ginger and candied orange – with a social value, too.

The Festival hit Florence between May 28 to 31, 2010, and also developed in the Web with its official website; in May 2010 alone was visited by 136,000 visitors with over 606,000 pages visited and over 2,200 fans on Facebook.
